    I have taken the liberty to read all your responses, and i must say that i love rock, and i see nothing wrong with it, you have obviously never listened to Ac/Dc's "highway to hell" "thunderstruck" or "back in black." You also have never listened to "Bark at the moon." if rock is to "hard" for you, then try The strokes, even though i think they are horrid (no offence Devesh), or Highly suspect lydia, it's a great alternative rock song, here is a link, give it a listen...
