ReplyDeleteThis photo has a great natural blur and is well composed

DeleteThis picture is very eye catching because of the way Joel looks at the scene. This made it a lot more dramatic and theatric. The photo was well token and the scene itself was what caught my attention
DeleteNumaan i'm flattered!
Delete1B Fists
ReplyDeleteI find picture two, fist, the most powerful and vivid because in the photo you can see the tension between the two characters. You can also see the expression shown because David's arms are in the air showing he is annoyed. The fist clenched also represents anger being shown
DeleteThe red in the picture really caught my attention. The blur is put in a pretty nice position. They blurred outside of the fist which really tells the meaning of the whole picture. It's a great picture!
Delete1C
ReplyDeleteThis photo stood out to me because of the great use of photography skills. The photo used various tools such as the lens blur. This photo gives the viewers a good recollection of the scene where Sean was taken to the vice principles office. It gives a great visualization of the scene as well.
DeleteI like how Mr.McCully is in the blur and has that mad expression and Sean is in that bad boy outfit. I also like how Sean is in sorrow and is face palming. It it so vivid and clear and if you read the book you would know what scene this is.A great qoute and natural blur.
Delete-Hamza
The photo was taken through a great perspective. It had a splendid amount of blur in order for the text to be visible. I believe that the text related well to the image in a way that had similar thoughts in mind.
DeleteThis picture stands out to me because of the way it was taken. I like how it was showing Sean in front of his usual chair after the fight with David and is almost about to get suspended. The things I like in the photo was the text "I settled into my familiar chair in front of his desk." Which can show that it was taken after the fight. I like the blur affect on Antwan and how it focuses on Joel mostly.

2A Watch
ReplyDeleteThis is a clever composition and good quote to use...the wheelchair of David almost vanishes in the back ground

DeleteAs i was going through the photos this picture caught my attention because, this group managed to use the quote very efficiently by choosing to right words to represent the photo they used
Delete2B Phone
ReplyDeleteI liked how you guys did the photo it really caught my attention. I also liked the colour u guys used with the picture and also the filter. but I think you could've made "you" more clear to see.
Delete2B I will like the state one thing... one thing only. I find that the photograph is quite well captured, although the colour used in the text caught my eyes but was not so appealing. Thank you and have a good day.
DeleteTo me 2B was the one of the most powerful and vivid photos because when I was 2B it reminded me of what happened after the fight between David and Sean. How when Mr.McCully broke up the fight he was angry at both David and Sean but when he had seen David pull himself back into his wheelchair McCulley had his own interpenetration of what had happened and pined the blame on Sean.
DeleteThe photo in 2B had a very clear visualization. It had a terrific amount of blur in which it focused well on the phone. This scene was shown dramatically through the darkness it brings and the filter used to make the image black and white. The photo taken was from a swell perspective that gave natural lighting coming from the back.
DeleteI like the composition and photo editing of photograph 2b. This is because when first looking at this reincarnation of the scene the first thought that comes to mind is that it is the scene in which Mr.Mccully is thinking whether to call Sean's parents or to let him go with a clean slate. In my perspective the font and text might needed some change but over all it was a great photo
Delete2C Fists
ReplyDeleteThe scene shown in 2C Fists gives a great visual of Sean being firm in fighting David. I believe that the photo taken was simple in a way that it is easy to comprehend. The font and colour in the text were used well, however the words "I planted my feet" aren't clear and visible due to the fact that the letters are not bolded as the rest of the text. Overall, the idea of the fist clenching with a background of the setting had the same photograph as to what has been imagined.
Delete3A McCully
ReplyDeleteThis photograph recalls my memory of the book Rebound the most because the picture takes place in the first big event that happened in the Rebound which was when Mr McCully broke up the fight and sent Sean to the office.
DeleteI think this photo is the first thing i recall form the book Rebound because,of the "BIG" fight problem that happened with Sean and David. When the fight was over,Mr.McCully came out and notice a big cluster of kids and Sean and David in the middle. After that fight,Sean went to the office and had a long talk with Mr.McCully, and that was the part which i recall the most.
DeleteI would say that this photo most represents a specific scene from "Rebound" because when I first eyed it, all I could think of was Mr. McCully. The way Keanna stood in the photo, with such a level of authority shows whoever is looking at the picture that she is portraying someone of importance. The text that goes along with the picture reads "whats going on here?" referring to the beginning of the book, where Mr. McCulley caught David and Sean fighting.
DeleteBijal Thank You for your comment. It feels nice to get hard work recognized. I really like your groups picture 2B Phone it is absolutely spectacular. I really like the font you used in this photo. Thank you for your comment Bijal it is inspiring and motivational!!
DeleteKhabuul, thank you for your comment.
DeleteIn our photo we tried to recreate the scene as similar as possible to the book. WE are glad that the photo helped you recall what had happen in the book. I also liked your groups photos I thought they were put together very nicely, they also helped me recall what had happened in the story.
3B

DeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I believe that 3B is the bloody fist, because it doesn't really look like blood with the tissue. however, the "dried blood" actually looks real.

DeleteThis picture stood out to me. The bloody tissue really got my attention. The blur strength was not to high and not to low. I also really liked the text. The colour of the text was matching with the picture which also made the picture AWESOME!
DeleteI really liked this picture because to me, it had the right amount of blur, the blood looked real and the way the fist was positioned looked great.
Delete- V
This photo stands out a lot because the dried paint or whatever substance that is, looks realistic on the tissue paper.
DeleteVincent, thank you for your comment. We really appreciate your feedback. WE are glad that you liked our photo. We also liked your groups photos, we thought your group did a very well job at editing and take your photos form different angles.
DeleteTo: Chirag Thank you for noticing and appreciating our hard work. We tried not to put a very high amount of blur or too little amount and we appreciate you noticing.
DeleteNajma Thank You for your comment. Also I would like to explain that even though the blood on the hand doesn't look real there was really nothing we could have done. If we would have used the black and white filter you wouldn't have been able to even notice the blood. Thank you for your praise and comment!!

ReplyDeleteI liked the photo of Mrs. Burk crossing her fists because it reminds me of when David and Sean were late to math class and Mrs. Burk was annoyed at Sean. I liked how you took the photo showing Rebekah crossing her arms and the math text book to show that she was a math teacher. I also liked the text of white and purple bot as the photo was black and white, the bricks behind the teacher was turning a bit darker, making the purple text harder to read('And she and I' and 'Better')
DeleteIs 3C the Mrs. Burk Photo?

Delete4A Water Fountain
ReplyDeleteI like the 4A Water Fountain photo, because it shows symbolism in it's photo. When Sean says that he was thirsty like dry cotton, dry bloody cotton was shown in the lower right corner, representing that Sean is battered like the cotton. The cotton also has some blood drops behind it, representing that Sean is so battered until he makes it to the water fountain, which is represented by cotton appearing, and no blood drops are appearing anymore.
Delete-Awigar
I think this is the most powerful photo. Maybe it is the colors but to me it looks like the the most powerful photo out of all of them.
DeleteI really like 4A Water Fountain, there is so much detail and it reminds me of the chapter where Sean wanted to take a drink if water since his mouth was as dry as cotton. By looking at the photo alone it shows the just right amount of detail to understand the tissue with what appears to have blood on it to show the audience how much he needed the water.
DeleteI like how well thought out your photo was. The editing fits well with the overall photo, and I admire how the colour of the red font matches the sweater. For example the tissue with blood on it, which I thought was really clever. I also like the detail you put in making the picture.
DeleteIn my personal opinion i think that 4A water fountain was excellent photo the different techniques they use was outstanding. The quote went great with the photo itself and i could really see what their trying to say.
DeleteI think 4A water fountain was a very good and creative photo. I liked how in the photo there was pieces of tissue with blood to show that Sean was bleeding. Overall I really liked the photo I thought it was creative, unique, and show cased the scene very well.
DeleteI like the photo of the water fountain because it shows everything you need to see in a photo than reading a page in the book. it already shows Sean drinking water from the water fountain and the blood from the scrap he got from the fight.the text gives this part in extreme detail while the photo just gives it in a simple detailed way that you can understand by looking.
DeleteIn my opinion, I think the water fountain is the most powerful and vivid. I think so because the cotton shows, very vividly. That a fight had happened and this took place after the altercation. By:Antwan
DeleteThis picture was great, and I like how they put the fake blood to show after the fight how Sean was bleeding with the tissues on the ground full of blood. - V
Delete4B Drawing
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteTo me 4B Drawing was a very good picture, 4B used the skills of photo editing we had learned. I think making the photo black and white added a bit more drama and the use of the different fonts make the photo look even better. I think by having the drawing is a unique way to show the scene. how they had a bit of eraser shavings and how the photo would fade into black.
DeleteThis photo recalls most of my memory of the book rebound. This part of the book shows David drawing a cartoon version of Mrs. Burk and shows Sean. I think that this is a really good photo to remember the text of Rebound because you know exactly what is going on: a person drawing, the text and the colour. it is a fun part to read in the book and it shows that David may have gotten over the accident and would like to start again somewhere else. -Aathira
DeleteThis photo of Mrs. Burk`s drawing provides the greatest recall for me. One of the reasons is the way they put the photo together the text goes were well with the background. Also it I believe the photo overall looks very good.

DeleteThis photo is a great picture. It was created with a lot of time and effort. The filters used, made the picture even better. The quote goes perfectly with the photo. I think your group used all the editing skills we learnt and used them to make a unique photo.

DeleteThis photo gives me as the audience a good understanding of how Mrs.Burk looks like. Since the novel doesn't give the readers any kind of picture to know how Mrs.Burk looks like, photos like these gives me a amazing understanding of how Mrs.Burk looks like as a character.
DeleteThis photo is another good photo i had in mind that deserves a 4 because the way its so effective with the drawing. It looks like it took a lot of time and effort to make this picture so fascinating.it also shows a good understanding of what their trying to indicate
DeleteI was impressed with how the group created this photo. They showed that they used their time wisely by going back and editing the photo. Another thing that i liked was how the group put the drawing in the background and used the quote to represent it.

Delete4C Scott
ReplyDeleteThis photo has a good composition, but what they could have done was take the picture at a different angle. Like instead of taking the picture of the shoe and up, they could have taken it from like side ways (left or right) or even from the top up, but other than that it is an amazing picture
DeleteI like natural blur and qoute. Also great composition. I like how Scott is indicting to come and sit here
Delete5A Fight
ReplyDeleteSomething I would say about this photo, is that they could've brought some props for example in the story it said David was wearing a hockey jersey and maybe they could have brought a hockey jersey to enhance the photo. - Vincent
DeleteYes we would have but at the time people were using the jersey, and my group and I did not own any.

DeleteI found 5A vivid because that scene kicked of the book. It was probably the most memorable scene in the book so far. It was an important scene because if it wasn't for this scene, Sean would have never been Davids host and the friendship would never exist.
Delete5B Shoes
ReplyDeleteThis picture did not make any sense, it did not fit with the quote or text, you could've had a fake cigarette on the floor to show that scott was smoking
DeleteThis picture was not the best composited photo. The shoe was taken from a higher angle which did not make it very eye catching. Also the use of over on this photo was as if it was rushed as it was all written in one sentence. Lastly this photo was rushed and could have been improved with more time and something in the background
DeleteYes we know Mr. Cheney was supposed to remove it......
DeleteI tried to read and somehow it started to hurt my head. I think it's because the text is really bright and the almost the same shade as the concrete. suggest you change the color of the text. BYE
Delete5C hoops
ReplyDeleteIt was a good picture. Something you guys could have done was maybe not put a filter on the photo. Also, you guys have the strength of the blur way to high. One last thing I would like to say is that this picture has too much vignette.
DeleteThis picture makes me immediately think of Rebound because I remember the whole scene. Sean is so confident when playing in his driveway and then David shows up and he gives him so pointers. When David asks him if he is going to try out Sean is confident that he says "Try out? I am going to get in" that scene was inspiring an uplifting. Sean was so confident that he was going to get in to the Basketball team that nothing could shake him. This picture immediately makes me think back to Rebound so quickly and I absolutely love that they used this inspirational scene.

Delete6A Pens
ReplyDeleteThe most powerful and vivid photo in my opinion is 6A Pens. The pens make the picture look so realistic so emotional and it helps me see that with a little effort and perseverance anything can look and feel spectacular. This picture is fresh in my mind because when I look at it I feel that I am jumping into the book myself and am a part of something special. This picture is the most vivid most powerful and in my books the best of all pictures.
DeleteI personally think that this photograph was created with a lot of time and effort. The editing skills are fantastic and the filters were used amazingly. The picture goes well with the quote but one thing I don't understand is whether you didn't have enough space to finish the sentence or it's supposed to be like a mystery but if so you could added three periods to make it seem mysterious. -Ariann.B
Delete6A was vivid to me because this was the first class David and Sean were in together. This was the first scene they didn't hate each other. It was the start of their "friendship".
Delete6B Jersey
ReplyDeleteUsing the jersey makes this picture pop! You can tell planning and attention to detail was a focus
DeleteI admire how you matched the colour of the font with the colour of the jersey. The hand reaching out to stop David is also a great addition to the photo. I think it's a great photo overall, the angle it was taken in and the detail (making David look like how the author described him) is the sole reason why I like the photo.
DeleteThis picture works very well and is able to make me retell moments of the story in rebound. The hockey jersey combined with the wheel chair make it relatively easy, to remember certain parts of the story. Which also make it a very vivid piece too, in my opinion.
DeleteIt is an amazingly composed photo, like for example the jersey was a wise and smart choice because it makes the photo pops out a LOT.
Delete-Sanjit. P
Thanks appreciate it using Mr. Dilkas's jersey was a great idea. It makes David stand out more.

Delete6C Trophies
ReplyDeleteThe scene made in 6C was well placed. I liked how a dim picture was used to make the light coloured text pop out. The brightness in the top left corner brought attention to the trophies in the basket. Through this, the emotion of being amazed upon the box of trophies was mainly expressed.

ReplyDeleteThis photo stood out to me because it was very artistically placed. the photo was taken in such a manner that the viewers attention immediately goes toward the trophies and the basket. They used the strategy that we talked about in class about using the grids and that is why i think it is such a strong picture. we have not yet reached this scene in the book but it gives a strong idea of what is to come.
ReplyDeletei really like the way they took this picture (4B Drawing). Mainly because they put it in black and white. To me that adds a bit of drama. I also like the way they used the rule of thirds.

ReplyDeleteThe greatest picture recall I have is 5A fight, I say that because as soon as I saw two boys on the floor I knew it was based on the fight. When I see this picture I think in my mind on how the fight went down and what else could have happened if Mr.McCully was not there to stop the fight, the photo was really glamorous and the position of how the wheelchair was their and nobody was sitting in it really made my mind think that the scene happened in real life. Overall I think the photo is elegant but what the group could have done was editing the picture more to make it stand out.
ReplyDeleteTo me, 6A (drawing) photo was the most powerful photo. They both represent a scene in the book that was relevant. 6A is vivid be cause that was the first class they were in together, not hating each other. That scene was the start of their "friendship". It resonates me because I know the importance of this scene as my group also used this scene in a photo.
ReplyDeleteI also found 5A vivid because that seen kicked of the book. It was probably the most memorable scene in the book so far. It was an important scene because if it wasn't for this scene, Sean would have never been Davids host and the friendship would never exist.
DeleteThe photo that seems the most powerful to me would be 4b drawing, I say that because the way how the picture was taken, the font and even the drawing was amazing. The photo was really powerful when I realized that they did a photo of David drawing a girl. I like how the group inferred how the girl looks and how they drew her, but the best thing that was powerful was how the photo angle was set because the group focused on the pencil tip on the paper and the drawing itself. Overall the photo was remarkable and every little detail was exposed, what the group could have worked on is getting rid of the pencil scratches to make the photo stand out more.
ReplyDeleteI believe that group 4 had some amazing photos. The photo by the water fountain was well token and had a very good use of over and the blood on the tissue was very impressive. The drawing picture was also very vivid as the angle was well tooken and the contrast was amazing
