    2. Partially as A.M. 17 mentioned, are these the characteristics that make you like your friends? Is it that you like the similarities with them or the various characters that differ from you?

  4. I don't think I display any of those character traits, I try really hard to though, to be friendly loyal, and hard working. Sadly, none of the funniness has spread onto me, although I'd love to have a humorous side. Since I'm not funny and don't laugh that often, I can be serious when needed.

    1. do you think that if you have no connection with your closest buddy it means that you are not friends or you guys just always disagree

      Delete
    2. Is that 'why' you like your friend? Because she has different characteristics than you? Is that what makes her interesting? Would you prefer someone with different characteristics or stick with people who are similar?

      Delete
    3. so would you rather be friends with the same characteristics or different?

  5. I actually do agree with the argument. The article was only 4 paragraphs, but he/she pointed out a very true fact. Sometimes not only do thier character traits "spread" to your friends if your close enough with them, but sometimes people hang out with them because they are similar.

    1. so are you saying that you share majority of your personal characteristics with your closest friend also if you say yes then do you think that friendships with two opposites won't last for long

    2. Fatma, in the previous creativity blogs, you had mentioned that the viewers were presented by great presentations but, not enough facts. So I would like to ask you, what types facts or to be specific what facts were actually clearly presented?

    3. i agree with aniqa what are the inforfmations which weren't clearly presented?

  6. 1.Trustworthy(Reliable enough to trust them with serious, they won't break my trust.) Caring(wouldn't mind risking herself for me first, loves me to death, and always has my back.Even cares for mr about the smallest things.)
Protective(Wether if I even have the smallest cut,she goes all mother on me:)
Loyal(Loyal to me till the end,I know she'll never backstab me. & finally I'd say kind and warm hearted(Always nice to everyone, greets everyone, friendly to everyone, always has a positive smile on her face.

2.Im not quite sure.I've never though of it that way.I am caring, and protective to my friends, and I'm loyal to them too.Though I'm not that warm hearted and kind. Not everyone see's methat way. After all I'm not born to please everyone. There will be some people who won't consider me none of the above, though everyone opinion about me is different.I am trustworthy most of the time.I try to keep things in as much as possible.Im trying my best, and if sometimes I say things I shouldn't I don't really mean it.Im more of that down to earth kind of person.

3.I sort of agree with the argument but not completely in agreement. We are the ones who chose our friends. They impact us in ways, though we can't really blame them because it would be our fault for finding fault in them .Were responsible for our actions, and behaviours.Certainly most of the times we would want to work without friends though,we are the ones who chose them. Also the article didn't explain the study's more.Just stating the obvious, which many of as figure.Nothing new so Id disagree.

  11. 1.My best friend has many different characteristics and among them would be the one that I prefer and makes her who she is:
    - intelligent ( she is very intellectual and receives high grades)
    - caring ( she cares about people in general making me feel comfortable with her)
    - worrisome ( she worries about every single thing )
-weird ( since we are really close friends she tends to tell me bizarre and strange things at times)
    - funny ( in school she is serious but outside of school she is funny making me laugh all the time)
2.Yes! Me and my friend have quite a few of those characteristics in common. I think all the characteristics mentioned are the same as my characteristics. I like to try my best to succeed in school, this making me worried about my grades as well , as I automatically tend to care about others whether I want to or not. I may not be funny thou my friend always told me I was in a silly way and of course weird! I think that is why we are friends, since our characteristics match.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. did you ever be weird at the same time i think that you did not so that means that some of your characteristics happen at different times do you agree

      Delete
    2. Yes, I do agree. At that moment, I wasn't thinking open minded when she would be thinking this way (weird) and so, when she does tell me these things, it is weird for me at that moment. It's 'weird' cause she had said things at the times where i wasn't being weird myself. ( It's a bit confusing there)
Sometimes I end up almost as if competing against her between our weirdest by naming and listing all the odd things we knew.

      Delete
    3. Do you think an argument of that makes me, me. To I don't want to show you what I got.Do you think it changes how your friends look at you and how it might influence you?

  12. Honestly, I can't make up my mind about this article. Having it to be written in only 4 paragraphs, it is very convincing thou.It has a few facts obtained from researches being able to give some evidence on their thoughts. One way to explain my opinion would be taking both sides for different situations.
In 'my situation' this article is completely true! Most of my characteristics were already as who I am while, some had developed over the years being along with my best friend. We met and became friends growing more attach together to get the headlines of 'best friends' due to all our similarities. She was a very high and top student in class, which positively dragged me along as a honor student too. ( I am totally grateful for that)
For some other people, this just might not be the situation. They probably have a group of people with different personalities who end up having a differed future. This might seem silly, but a common example that I was able to get from the top of my head would be the commonly known TV show called " Scooby- doo". Well, in that show there is 5 friends who work together to solve mysteries. They have been friends since childhood! The five different people contains various personalities and not all similar to each other. One is smart, the other charming, goofy, funny, pretty, and much more. In one of the latest versions of this show, it shows all of them going to different high schools. One friend would be more intellectual than the other, but that did not determine their future.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. that is true but what do you think do friends always need same qualities or do two opposites match

      Delete
    2. Well, it really depends on you. If you are the kind of person who likes people who are similar to them , then do so while others prefer wilder or different friends with various other characteristics. Either types of these people can make certain types of friends. Opposite matches are really interesting and lively when all the awkwardness and learning new things are going on.

    1. That is a great argument! It wouldn't be my best friend but, some of my other friends are not academically high or either their way further higher than me. This doesn't change my level of learning and my future. Also many of my friends are sport captains, artist, or developed so many other interesting talents when I barely have any of their talents. Being with them didn't make me better at art or sports.

  28. Characteristics of a Friend
Impressionable - Can differ if you are one's friend or not, they're not too polite when they hear something bad about you. They are fine to talk to but may be unpleasant at the most. The reason why I keep him as my top five is because at the most they'll be talking about someone else that isn't you.

Angry - Say one little thing to him and he goes berzerk.
If I got a penny a day for every innapropriate word he's uses, I would be rich. If you are nice to him then you will have no problem with him. He's like David, look at him wrong and he'll throw a punch at you right then.

Gullible - Tell him you won the lottery and you'll be begged for nothing because you didn't really win the lottery. That one friend that can make anything hilarious. They don't know anything that you do, They are just your friend for the heck of it.

    To be continued...

    1. So, the last one you mentioned in the last sentence, "They are just your friend for the heck of it." Does that show the mood in a positive or negative way? Tome, that doesn't seem like a true friend if you use the sentence in that way, or maybe you didn't mean that at all and I misunderstood.
Also, all these characteristics seem a bit picky and as if you have to be very careful with them to maintain their temper. Do you like being their friends this way or can they get a bit annoying at times?

      Delete
    2. So how do you cope with him if he gets angry so easy? I mean even if it's a small joke or some harmless teasing he will seriously get that mad? and not play along with you? Is it like Sean where you have to be careful of what you say to him so that he won't go all out on you? Well for me, I usually like to play around and they would join in, and you know that I also like to speak my mind and say what's on mind too. So if he/she will get mad every 2 seconds for what I said, then I would probably like not talk to them often.

Well I only say this because if you have a friend with a really, really, really bad temper, you might get a little intimidated and might want to watch what you say.

      Delete
    3. @Aniqer 1.My quote "For the heck of it" would be like a snappy type of way to say something like "for the amusement and great times we can have". I try to be comical with my words but they end up to be messed up. Sorry for the misperceived paragraph.

2.I am totally fine being their friends this way they are too! We make jokes about it all the time.
But there is a side that doesn't appreciate some things that they might say. When I don't appreciate it I tell them right then, I don't like keeping secrets!

      Delete
    4. @Fried Chicken
I cope with that type of person by just regulating what I say on a daily basis. If he tells me something that is just;fowl, misunderstood, and just plain "stupid", it's my duty to tell them what's on my mind. If it's not as serious as comical they would just flat out ignore what I say.
Yeah, Just like Sean he could go all out on me,
happened a few times actually, not the best feeling but I can say some things that may be perceived as offensive. I try to watch my words but, even I know that I can be stupid when it comes to that.

Thank you for your opinion too! These things just might bother me a little bit.

I think that at times I know I can be a little troublesome, and bothersome to people around me, but we all are at some point, even when we don't know it.

  33. I do agree some what with this article when it said students pair up with students that our at the same standards as them. And I think that they pair up with people they would normally pair up with....never someone different. I think that often students would use other students because one person might have higher standards in one area right? Then that one person would do everything while the rest would take credit. I think that because their so distracted with everything else, like friends, social media, ect, that they dismiss themselves on trying to do better. It's pretty much true.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think that in a way the friends you have can reflect on what grades you get, I mean they CAN influence you, and you wouldn't even know it. I think that our little cliques we have in school can reflect on what kind of person we are but sometimes no. I mean its hard to explain. I mean, you could also be at a really high standard and your friend isn't. Sometimes they can affect your grades either in a negative or positive, but they can also affect and have an influence on your attitude.

Another characteristic i like is enthusiastic. I some time what some one to laugh and joke around you know some one to have a good time.

Another example energetic.I need some one to lift my spirit time to time.Ever one does right.

A one characteristic i like is annoying. What i mean is that i like some one how is annoying if you may say.

The last and final characteristic i like is Trustworthy.I need some one how i can trust for anything. Some one how i can say "I can trust you with my life"(not literly)

    ReplyDelete
  37. 2.Well in really can't say that i show all the characteristic that my friends have.I can say i have annoying(from time to time) loyalty and energetic and one i did not mention Bravery.(in my post)
Well my honest opinion is that Were all unique each and ever way right so if i had the same as my friends we would act and think the some.Thank god we don't because if we did it would be really boring.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 3. Well i must say it makes sense that the kind of friends you have the better the grades are. What i mean is that if you had good friend that person would help you push you're limit in sports or school. It would help you achieve more and learn a little right. Regardless if you're smart you some time or all the time rely in friends.Ever one learn from people some time. You're friends know a little more some time so it's all way good to choose friends how are aren't like you.But some one you seem to like how is different.
