I like the idea with doing all the frames on the computer, but I'd rather draw by hand than on paint or something. The way she did it in the first video looked too pixelated to me.
that is true but it is very hard to draw good and also staying composed for 1 focused hour of drawing i also think that it will take alot of preparation becase we would need to draw the story of rebound
@Aqib: We could write/draw out one chapter and stop and then do the same for every chapter. Remember we are using lapse it and if we put it on iMovie, it will come together.
I dont think we should use a electronic whiteboard because, It would be hard to use and the writing would look messed up, unless somebody here has had alot of practice.
yeah but the bad part is that there is only one big white board, and there would be many groups, and i think there might be a big arguement over the whiteboards.
sana.... You dont have personal control to draw your figures on the computer...i feel more comfortable using a pencil or marker considering it is in the grasps of my fingers
Abeeshan has a point, we can use photoshop to make our backround, and use the smart board as our electronic tablet and pen. Use a recording software to have the thing zoom in and record ecverythig.
We can get those tiny, cheap white boards and draw on them. Although, there wouldn't be much space, we can erase and keep drawing. By the way, does it have to be a white board? Can't we just simply use paper or a black board to enlarge the variety for each group?
wouldn't it be too hard to write and draw a whole book the same way the lady in the first video was showing. because it was just a bunch of lines. and it was all pictures it kind of like lapse it.
Taking a picture of every single line we make will definitely be alot of pictures! I'm not too sure but I heard that this is how animation is created to make it seen that someone is moving or in action. So it sounds pretty interesting!
I want that Bamboo Drawing Fun Tablet Derp Thingy Derp. It looks like it'd be a lot easier than drawing with a pencil and you wouldn't have to worry about getting seen if you don't want to be seen because you could be recording the screen thingy.
there is this girl on youtube who does this type of thing, she is extreamly smart and talks about advanced ideas that she has. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-pyuaThp-c
Wow that video is amazing! It does go really fast and it's hard to keep up but, I think she had used a similar app to lapse it and a voice over in the background.
i like the idea of an electornic whiteboard because it is easy to write on it... and other thing that the writing woudn't be messed up because if your writing is neat when you write on a piece if paper then it's going to be the same when you write on an electronic whiteboard,, because it uses a pen by which we write on the board.
they have a pen and a tablet with an electronic computer and it is just same as using the smart board.. and also they show the tablet and the pen with the electronic board in the video which is attached to the board. so I think that it is same like using a smart board.
I don't like the idea of using an electronic whiteboard. We have to do so many things in order to use a electronic white board, not that I mind it's just that we'll need a pen and tablet, which will cost money. Unless you have practice using a mouse. But I'd rather stick with a whiteboard.
I agree with Geetanjali at one point. I am wondering if we will be able to use these electronic items and programs however, thing may get a bit complicated. But no point of not trying something new right?
Now that I know we can do it with lapse it, it looks like something fun and much easier than I thought. The last and first video where they drew them on the computer seems so much harder because I know for a fact that I cant draw with a mouse. You have more control when you have it in your hand.
Yes, it is hard to draw with a mouse. However, would something like a bamboo pen and tablet make it easier? Even if it is not available to us, we might be able to associate something similar using an iPad.
I dont think we should use the electronic whiteboard. The electronic white board idea seems pretty complicated to me its gonna be hard trying to put it all together.
It's not too hard though. I mean it is a bit harder to draw on an electric white board with a mouse. PAINT is also like a white board, and it is very hard to draw in that program. Unless you are thinking about using a real board? Does it have to be a white board? What if we used sheets of paper and such?
If we do the electronic white board, we need to get that bamboo pen and tablet. But we can also do the same thing on a white board except our hands would show. @mrcheney Can we try to see if the ipad can draw like that and show up on the computer?
Aliyah, I do think that is a good idea. The way Mr. Cheney uses his iPad everyday to control the computer screen, that might work! However, we can't just video tape from the screen, that would make it look all fuzzy and blurry showing the pixels. Do you think we can somehow use Camtasia?
Wow, the last video was the best for me! I mean, for so long I have wondered about how all these videos are created, and he explained perfectly. I have actually been interested in these online applications however, most are used for MAC rather than a PC. If I were able to get a chance to try out camtasia, that would be awesome!

ReplyDeletethat is true but it is very hard to draw good and also staying composed for 1 focused hour of drawing i also think that it will take alot of preparation becase we would need to draw the story of rebound
Deleteit is hard tio stay on task for a long time
DeleteIt's called a projet for a reason.
Delete@aqib but we can take breaks while we draw and write
Deletethat's true, there is a pause button right? And the same person doesn't have to draw the whole thing, people could switch roles.
Delete@Aqib: We could write/draw out one chapter and stop and then do the same for every chapter. Remember we are using lapse it and if we put it on iMovie, it will come together.
Deleteshe would've been an artist as so she can draw so perfect..
DeleteDrawing would be good! However, the way that the first video showed, as Sara mentioned seemed a bit too "cut off to pieces".
DeleteI dont think we should use a electronic whiteboard because, It would be hard to use and the writing would look messed up, unless somebody here has had alot of practice.
ReplyDeletetrue i think that using the white board is the best way for making the RSA
Deletebut electric whiteboard is same like writing on a paper or any other whiteboard.
Deleteyeah but the bad part is that there is only one big white board, and there would be many groups, and i think there might be a big arguement over the whiteboards.
DeleteHe does have a point but it would still be kind of hard to draw in the electronic whiteboard
Deleteisnt an electronic white board a smart board?
DeleteI say we use the frames idea but use something that can give us overall 100% quality.
Deletewe could use the smart board and use remote mouse to write other than the writing tool
DeleteSana@ it's kind of hard to write in it because of you're shadow that covers the board some time right?
Deletesana.... You dont have personal control to draw your figures on the computer...i feel more comfortable using a pencil or marker considering it is in the grasps of my fingers
DeleteAbeeshan has a point, we can use photoshop to make our backround, and use the smart board as our electronic tablet and pen.
DeleteUse a recording software to have the thing zoom in and record ecverythig.
@Nauman: i agrre but we can have turns as so we will have alot of time on working the videos
Deleteit is too hard to use a smart board because time after time we would have to orient it and the writing would look slopy
Deleteisnt the the electronic white board A PROGRAAM ON THE COMPUTER because if its smart board.....we only have 1
DeleteWe can get those tiny, cheap white boards and draw on them. Although, there wouldn't be much space, we can erase and keep drawing. By the way, does it have to be a white board? Can't we just simply use paper or a black board to enlarge the variety for each group?
DeleteRSA is like lapse it it is just that RSA is more focused drawing
ReplyDeleteI have a question, is RSA the name of the application or program used or is it the type of video we created?
Deletewouldn't it be too hard to write and draw a whole book the same way the lady in the first video was showing. because it was just a bunch of lines. and it was all pictures it kind of like lapse it.
ReplyDeleteit would be hard but we are we going to draw the whole book we read so far? or only the main parts in the book?
DeleteTaking a picture of every single line we make will definitely be alot of pictures! I'm not too sure but I heard that this is how animation is created to make it seen that someone is moving or in action. So it sounds pretty interesting!

ReplyDeleteI wonder where this item is available and how much it would cost?
Deletethere is this girl on youtube who does this type of thing, she is extreamly smart and talks about advanced ideas that she has. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-pyuaThp-c
ReplyDeletethe video is pretty interesting.. but it doesn't show that how she lapse the video.
DeleteWow that video is amazing! It does go really fast and it's hard to keep up but, I think she had used a similar app to lapse it and a voice over in the background.
Delete@sana the electronic white board will be hard to use considering that you dont have personal control on it
ReplyDelete@Nauman: I know but it is going to be easy writing on it, just like you write on a random board and just like writing on a piece of paper with a pen.
DeleteSana, we might have to use a mouse instead of the pen and board. So I would agree with Nauman of the difficulty and mess it may cause.
Deleteyes but thats why the planning is essential
ReplyDeletei like the idea of an electornic whiteboard because it is easy to write on it... and other thing that the writing woudn't be messed up because if your writing is neat when you write on a piece if paper then it's going to be the same when you write on an electronic whiteboard,, because it uses a pen by which we write on the board.
ReplyDeleteI think the elctronic board is on the computer so i dont think we could be comfortable using it
DeleteBut if we don't have the pen and tablet thing, we wouldn't be able to write that neatly.
Deletethey have a pen and a tablet with an electronic computer and it is just same as using the smart board.. and also they show the tablet and the pen with the electronic board in the video which is attached to the board. so I think that it is same like using a smart board.
DeleteSana, what if we don't have these electronic technologies and we are to stick with using a mouse? What shall we do then?

ReplyDeletedid u mean a smart board? or the regular board ?
DeleteI agree with Geetanjali at one point. I am wondering if we will be able to use these electronic items and programs however, thing may get a bit complicated. But no point of not trying something new right?
Delete@john we could use the app remote mouse as the pen and pad
ReplyDeleteIs that what it is called? The app that Mr. Cheney uses? Or is it something different?
DeleteNow that I know we can do it with lapse it, it looks like something fun and much easier than I thought. ReplyDeleteYes it does. Which technique from the ones shown in the video do you think maybe the most enjoyable one to use?
