Well, to most people fashion is everything. It's a way to express their personality. There's nothing really bad about fashion i guess it's way for people to express themselves without actually saying anything. And also of course their unique styles :)
Well, the problem is that fashion is everything. It shouldn't be that way since their self-esteem gets over taken by fashion. A person's self-esteem shouldn't be based on fashion. Also when you talk about the unique style people display, I don't think too many people do that. It's more as if we are following people/ society/ models fashion rather than our own unique one.

Yes, it makes people want more and more and there is no end to it. You start almost craving for more cloths. This obsession will waste your money and take you to a circus making you mentally sick.

Peoples 'style' is shown in many different ways, or example, some people would show themselves out by being expressive of their thoughts. Not so many people used to rely on fashion like they do now. It's purely unoriginal, and because of not being like others you are called an hipster.

In some ways fashion an help you, for example, if you come to school in a USPA shirt, Levi's pants, and nikes, someones going to notice it and quickly express their opinions on the brand name clothing that you are wearing. You might think that it's a bad thing at first but, if you think about it, you like the appreciation that you get from others.
For some people fashion means a lot because they can express themselves. But for some fashion isn't very relevant. So it all depends on your view of fashion. If you want to express yourself then you can wear the kind of clothes that express you. But some people that are very into fashion may drop a lot of $$$ on clothes.

I agree that yet, the $$$ is dropped on the clothing, the social appearance of the person is purely judged on the way that they tend to dress. It is arguable if using hard owned money on such things are worth it or not, both sides are almost equally favored.

I definitely agree with you in the last lines. Although we have a limit to our clothes by a dress code, we are still free to wear clothes under those colours. One might wear a skirt, long sleeve, half sleeve, pants, shorts, dress, and much more. In one way or another you can still express your feelings.
Fashion effects BHJMS because we are a uniform school. So for the people that like to express themselves from fashion, can't really. But for parents it's good because they don't have to drop that much money on their kids clothes for school.
Well, actually they can express their feelings. A girl who may have the styles of a tomboy would wear pants and a simple shirt, when another girl with girly girl style would wear a frilly black dress. I guess the colour coding and appropriate dressing limits fashion a bit but, you can still express your self.

I think fashion is not a good thing even if a lot of people say its a good thing it can cause problems if some kind of fashion trend is "in" and you and someone wears the same thing on the same day especially girls they will get mad. When I think of fashion, I think of the 'Extreme super models with enormous amount of MAKE-UP wearing cloths that you wouldn't probably see someone wearing on the streets in your everyday life'. This mindset of mine, directs me to a negative opinion of fashion. However, I still think fashion is somewhat good but, mostly bad. Fashion is a way to express our feelings. You can show your favourite colour using everyday fashion, you can look nice and proper everyday, and you might find things that goes with you while others does not look good on you. You can keep up with the 'level of society' if you would like. In a way, fashion keeps you up and bright and might as well make you feel good. Now that is the PROBLEM. Boosting your self-esteem with fashion isn't a stable idea. Your self-esteem is on the risk and will break and crumple in minutes by chance. You can't depend you mood and feelings on how you look because, your looks are only TEMPORARY. Another way your self-esteem can break is when these small incidents of bullying turn into a big thing. I really dislike the "fashion" today, It just makes everybody look the same. why would you want 50 billion versions of you walking around? Not to mention the "fashion" is in bad taste. Its all just stupid hats, tight shirts, basketball shoes, and saggy pants. no doubt this "fashion" is influenced by pop and poor music. I find it rather shallow that we base our life and personality off of magizenes and trends.
If you look at the girls in grade 8 BHJMS, you can see that the girls are wearing the same thing; Tight pants, Tight shirts, Basketball shoes, and ugly sloppy buns that are made in bad taste. they look like someone copy pasted every girl! and the guys have; saggy pants, basketball shoes, stupid hats, and they have their one ear pierced. I have seen that if you do not follow these trends in school, you will be cast out and called names.

Fashion doesn't really affect BHJMS because we are a uniform school, but people can get mad that they cant wear their clothes at home instead of wasting money on uniform clothes, just pick out clothes form your closet. Also, people wouldnt be able to express themselves.

I think that fashion is good to an extent,you could tell why I'm saying this,erm... Lady Gaga's meat dress. I think that clothes are what define us, like very 'cool' girls would wear very expensive and brand name clothing. It's a way of showing yourself out, and that is sometimes a good thing. But hilariously, fashion can also ruin your life. An example of an instance of which it can is, when you come to school in maybe your worst clothing because your parents are cleaning your clothes.

DeleteI think that fashion is good to an extent,you could tell why I'm saying this,erm... Lady Gaga's meat dress. I think that clothes are what define us, like very 'cool' girls would wear very expensive and brand name clothing. It's a way of showing yourself out, and that is sometimes a good thing. But hilariously, fashion can also ruin your life. An example of an instance of which it can is, when you come to school in maybe your worst clothing because your parents are cleaning your clothes.
ReplyDeletePeople are going to judge the way you do things that day. Maybe they wont be so harsh but, they wont go light either. I think that fashion can go out of control at times, clothing malifuntions and incidents happen due to the clothing that the people wear.
Fashion affects BHJMS because we here have a so called uniform which is actually known as a dress code and since we have dull colors like black blue and white a lot of people find it difficult to wear different outfits and dress nicely and brightly soo its kinda difficult for students at beaumonde to be in fashion with almost the same clothes every school day of the week.Teachers on the other hand can be in fashion all the time at school since they have no uniform or dress code like us .
