I think this is because Sara wants to keep a reputation but not the reputation as a perfect student , but as a trustworthy girl, that's brave and will have anyone's back ! I also think she wants too keep her 'cool' reputation and not tell anyone were she got the answers from because she doesn't want anyone to know she was talking to Jake the 'loser' .

DeleteHer mom annoys her! Her mom consistently blames everything on her father becuase of the divorce, in my opinion her mom dosn't look like she's doing her best at this "one parent" thing. Plus her mom has to compare or only thinks everything is bout her. And when it was in Jakes perspective, it seemed like Jake would do anything. He almost seems Desperate to get her attention. But unfortunate for him, Sara does not really care. Everyone seems to like her. Its almost like what ever Sara is doing, is always going to be the right thing. A good word to describe Sara is selfish, and using that characteristic, she will rat him out!

ReplyDelete1) I don't think that Sara will rat on Jake to save herself from suspension. Sara's mom didn't really care about the suspension, to me she cared more about the reason why she was cheating. Sara wasn't afraid of her mom finding out about the suspension. So my opinion is that it doesn't really matter to Sara and she won't rat out on Jake. And also if Sara does tell on Jake the situation will even become a bigger problem. I personally feel that if Sara wants to avoid that,because her mom takes it too far when she's does something wrong.

But Sara seemed not to care, and her mom let her off pretty easy. No punishment at all. Plus if Jake was exposed, then Sara would be back in school with her friends! she wouldn't go 100% off the hook, but she would be in more of a positive situation.

2. If I was to be in Sara's shoes, yes I would rat out Jake. Rather be safe then sorry, Yes its all good to keep some one else safe, but why put all the blame on yourself when it really was not you 100% Although there would be no positives to this footing.

DeleteI don't believe that Sarah will Rat on Jake to save herself. That wouldn't click onto Sarah's personality. But since Sarah is in a tough situation, she might consider ratting on Jake.Danny and Rob ratted out Sarah. She admitted it herself that she was the one who gave Dan and Rob last years test. However, the principal left her in a predicament. I'm certain that Sarah doesn't want to be suspended from the school, and she certainly doesn't want suspension to be in her reports and records. The Principal threatened Sarah telling her that if she doesn't tell him whom she got last years test from, the principal will give her suspension. This leaves Sarah in a dilemma. Either she puts half of the weight and pressure on Jake, or she doesn't throw him under the bus and is given suspension. Therefore I believe that Sarah WILL tell the principal that Jake was involved since the principal has left her at a hard position.

DeleteIn my opinion, Sarah is going to rat out Jake at one point. Sarah is in a position where she isnt allowed on school property until she confesses who is responsible for the cheat. Sarah is risking her learning and importance of education by being suspended. Sarah can't hide the solution forever, she is going to have to confess at one point. If I wwas Sarah, I would give up from hiding and confess. Suspension goes into your record and I wouldnt want to risk that.

ReplyDeleteI think that Sara will not rat out Jake because she wants to keep her reputation and she wants to keep her image. she does not want her reputation to became a person who snitches on people just to save herself from suspension. And if she snitches on him than she will loses her reputation and she wont be cool no more and she does not want that so she will not snitch on Jake.
She is labelled as a cheater... If Ruby knows the situation, the rest would too. Her reputation isn't that great right now.

ReplyDeleteIf I were in Sarah Shoes, i would rat on Jake. If it isn't entirely Sarah's fault, then she shouldn't be given so much pressure. She shouldn't take blame for everyone. Ratting on Jake may effect her reputation but its better than being given a suspension and a bad reputation towards the teachers and principal. I would rat out Jake, be given my consequence, learn from my mistakes, then move on.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Sara will rat on Jake to save herself from suspension because she wouldn't want to ruin her reputation since Jake is like a "no body", And everyone else might be calling her a snitch/rat. If you get caught don't bring anyone else down with you unless the situation is big.And if she doesn't snitch others will then know that she has there back, Also if she doesn't snitch she could always use it against him in the future.

Deletei really can't say. this is a crazy situation. either stay suspended or speak up do or die! But when people are in trouble its always one thing you dont do rat out on each other. you take the blame yourself rather than bringing everyone else down with you. But since they know theres someone else gave her the paper there is no point covering them especially when your consequence is getting from bad to worse. speaking up is probably the best thing to do

ReplyDeletethink that Sara is not going to rat out jake, because she's going to lose her pride and get the school name, snitch of the year. Jake isn't going to come and help Sara because he is to much of a coward and a loser. I do think that she also wants jake to stay out of it because she also doesn't want to be known as, saved by a loser named jake. I also think that she isn't going to get into that much trouble because her mom already knows. The only real disadvantage she's going to gain. Getting in trouble by her 'Dad' and losing trust with the teacher. I'm pretty sure Sara doesn't even care about that, as long as she has her pride and becomes the schools most popular kid. Sara wants to keep her image, she's constantly pressured by her peers and friends even tho, they not directly pressuring her. She fears that, if she loses this image she'll become into a loser and a coward like jake. Not really, I have never faced any outcome like this

ReplyDeleteI have never been in a situation similar to this but if I was I would probably not tell on the person I got the answers from I would convince the person to tell on them self and they would be no point for them to refuse because either way this person would get in to trouble

DeleteIn this situation, Sara will end up telling. She won't want to because of her reputation at school, but at the same time its not good if she stays like that for too long. Sara said that she wouldn't tell anyone anything. But then sooner or later she will tell the principle about Jake. It's not like she ratted Katie out. Maybe she won't rat Jake out either. yet...

He is a huge coward and he won't come to pushing him self outside his comfort zone where he is risking everything for her. She also wants to keep her image as trustworthy and cool. To mr cheneys comment: we are not saying that she wants to stay home. Or at least I am. I'm saying that she won't mind if she's suspended. Even tho she's a queen, she does need breaks. Being popular isn't that fun, if your trying to be popular, not being who you are. It just means u are insecure and a people pleaser. She might just need a break from that. And be her self once and a while

It may not be that she cares about her reputation more than education, but instead she knows that she was the one who created this whole "cheating" thing. As well she doesn't have any evidence against Jake, and neither will Jake take the blame since he thinks Sarah used him. If Jake is guilty, than Sarah is more. She is the one who took the answers from Jake, she was the one who spread it out to others, and if she hadn't told people this mess wouldn't have been created. It was in her hands what to do. But I guess she put her own life in "Danger". So, its more Sarah fault than Jake's and she eventfully knows that. So, no Sarah won't rat out Jake.
